Purpose

We live at the confluence of technical acceleration and reflective superficiality. In the contemporary digital environment, technology is too often treated with blind determinism or moral panic; theology is reduced to devotional slogans; and philosophy is isolated in academic abstractions far from production code.

Frontiers of Faith is born from the restlessness of that void. It is an essay periodical dedicated to examining the structures of computing under the combined light of historic Protestant Theology (Reformed, Lutheran, and Anglican) and Philosophy — taking as its point of departure the Neo-Calvinist tradition of Abraham Kuyper and Herman Dooyeweerd, without being limited to it.

Posture: Stewardship, Not Heroic Authorship

This space has no pretension of founding new doctrines or dictating definitive technical consensuses. The work exercised here is that of a content steward. We recognize that the great ontological, ethical, and epistemological problems raised today by artificial intelligence and distributed systems have already been mapped by thinkers who preceded us.

Our role is rigorous curation: subjecting concrete problems of software engineering to mature conceptual lenses, anchoring each essay in canonical authors and confronting technique with the sovereignty of God over every sphere of reality.

Editorial Principles

• Deliberate slowness: Essays published only after review and logical confrontation. We do not cover the daily news cycle; we analyze the underlying structures.
• Expository clarity: Descriptive argument, anchored in logic and technical didactics, avoiding both academic hermeticism and purely aesthetic metaphors.
• Questions instead of dogmatisms: Every essay ends in open provocations for the reader to carry away.
• Source transparency: What we know, we learned from others. Each article includes an annotated bibliography for those who wish to build their own repertoire.

Form Follows Content

The site was built intentionally in plain PHP, semantic HTML, and native CSS, without heavy third-party libraries or retention algorithms. The periodical’s physical architecture mirrors its conviction: absolute priority to focus, reading speed, and the dignity of the reader’s time.
